November Mailing Update

I've received quite a few emails in the last couple of days about members not receiving their address for the November mailing. We're resending addresses as needed, but in the meantime be sure to check your spam folder in your mail first, as a lot of them seem to have ended up in there! Thanks again, all!

One other thing -- my computer is in the shop at the moment, so I may be slow responding to you over the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience!

Oh, this is good news. I shall continue to monitor both my inbox and my spam folder, awaiting that email with the November address. Still nothing yet, but I'm sure it will come. (Alas, I am doubly sad because I never received an October postcard.)

I feel bad for anyone having problems with the process here, either in receiving addresses or in receiving the postcards themselves.

As a gesture of balance, I wanted to mention that everything so far has gone off without a hitch for me. I've received both addresses and postcards and am having great fun.

I certainly don't want to be insensitive to those having trouble but I do want to reassure Lori that overall things are working out well. It's a super-cool thing you've created and I look forward to every month end/beginning. Giving, getting, waiting with baited breath for what might arrive.. What's not to love?
Thanks!

Lori,
I wanted to tell you how awesome you are in your coordination of all this and making sure all goes as smoothly as possible. I have not had any problems so far and am enjoying the exchange of postcards. Sounds like this is a hard job and I just wanted to let you know you are doing a great job.

This is probably not the appropriate place for this comment but I can't figure out how to comment on it directly -- I just wanted to say that that postcard in the gallery is GORGEOUS! Did Samantha illustrate it herself?

And, just to be a little more relevant to this post, I'd like to tell Lori as well that SHE'S awesome and we all appreciate all of the effort that is going into this wonderful project!

Sigh... I still haven't received my October card...

The Missive Maven said...

Anneke - me neither! I am kind of assuming it's lost as this point.

Anneke and 'The MIssive Maven' I love putting 'a smile on people´s faces and sharing good karma through random acts of kindness', so send me your address and I will post a card to you. Smiling is better than sighing.

That would be lovely...

Hedy, that's so sweet! My mailing address is listed on my blog.

Hedy is the personification of the spirit of the BPS! So lovely and generous of you, Hedy — and really sweet (as Missive Maven says) too!

I received Hedy's wonderful card in what seems like the blink of an eye, considering it came all the way from Queensland, Australia! Mailed on the 9th and arrived on the 19th!

And I LOVE found-object art.

Thank you SO much, Hedy!... And do have a wonderful time with your family!

PS... Love the stamps. For some reason Canada Post only has fancy stamps for domestic postage. Everything else is BORING.

I just got Hedy's delightful card, too - it arrived yesterday, and it's like a work of art! Thank you, Hedy!

Missive Maven,

I was amazed at the speed of Hedy's card!

Again, thanks, Hedy!

Anneke and The Missive Maven I am happy that you like the cards. The Australian Post seems to be very good at what they are doing;-)
